Route 66 Casino Hotel is kicking off a major promotion in September to highlight the unique partnership between one of New Mexico’s most popular gaming destinations, the UNM Lobos and Lobo Sports Properties.

Route 66, the exclusive casino sponsor of Lobo Sports, has launched “The Ultimate Lobo Fan Fest” and is encouraging New Mexicans to “Go Lobo Loco” with a multi-faceted line-up of special appearances, gift giveaways, slot tournaments and free casino play.

The Lobo Loco Fan Van will be displayed at each home football game and at Route 66 Casino Hotel throughout the season. During Fan Fest at University Stadium fans will have a chance to spin a prize wheel to win deluxe sports packages including football and basketball season tickets, autographed helmets and jerseys, Lobo and Route 66 souvenirs and much more. Guests at Fan Fest and at Route 66 will also earn entries to win the Lobo Locomotion Fan Van valued at over $75,000.

The action continues all season long with Lobo Loco Free Slot Tournaments every Wednesday night throughout the season inside the Route 66 Casino. Players can sign-up at the Ultimate Rewards booth absolutely free. More than $7,000 in prize money will be given away each week.

For post-Lobo game Sundays Route 66 will celebrate with 2X points. Players will earn two times cash back every Sunday throughout the season.

Whether at University Stadium Fan Fest or at Route 66 Casino Hotel for Free Slot Tournaments and double cash back “The Ultimate Lobo Fan Fest” will provide entertainment and excitement for Lob fans everywhere.

Route 66 Casino Hotel and The Lobos are looking for the Ultimate Fan this season. “Go Lobo Loco” Fans can upload a photo OR Video to qualify! To tell your Ultimate Fan story, log on to www.kob.com and click on You News or click here to upload your Ultimate Fan Video.  You can also visit the Route 66 Casino Hotel booth at Fan Fest during the tailgate of any Lobo Football game where you can tell your story on camera. 

YouNews viewers will pick a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner MONTHLY by voting for the wildest “Lobo Loco” Fan. All monthly winners (total of 9) will qualify for the Grand Prize Contest on December 14th. (Voting for the Grand Prize starts on December 1 and ends Sunday, December 13 at 12:00 Midnight). YouNews viewers will vote on the 9 finalists December 1, 2009 thru December 13, 2009. There will be ONE Grand Prize winner (see prize below) to be announced on Monday December 14, 2009.
