About Midland:

Hailing from Dripping Springs, TX lead vocalist Mark Wystrach fronts Midland’s rich sound that is rounded out with lead guitarist Jess Carson and bass player Cameron Duddy. Rooted in tradition in both sound and style, the trio initially garnered attention playing clubs in the region. Their critically – acclaimed freshman album, ON THE ROCKS (Big Machine Records), features 13 tracks with songwriting credits form each member alongside hit-makers Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne. Launching to rave reviews from notable outlets like Los Angeles Times and Rolling Stone Country with Washington Post touting ON THE ROCKS as “the year’s best Country album.” The Dann-Huff produced album earned the No. 1 position on Billboard’s Top Country Album Sales chart upon release. Their debut No. 1 single “Drinkin’ Problem,” which offers an intentional nod to Country music reminiscent of the 1970s and 80s, earned the band their first GRAMMY® Awards nominations for Best Country Sond and Best Country Duo/Group Performance. Midland recently joined forces with Jay De la Cueva of Mexico’s Moderatto music group to re-record a Spanish version of the PLATINUM-certified chart-topper – “Drinkin’ Problem (Brindemos)” – available now. Ahead of the April 15 live broadcast of the ACM Awards in Las Vegas, Midland have been named New Vocal Group of the Year and are the most-nominated debut artist this year with three total nods, also including Vocal Group of the Year and Single of the Year (“Drinkin’ Problem”). This year Country Radio Broadcasters voted the trio as one of the esteemed 2018 CRS New Faces. Midland is currently on the road with Little Big Town and Kacey Musgraves for THE BREAKERS TOUR and will join Thomas Rhett’s LIFE CHANGES TOUR this fall.

George Thorogood and The Destroyers GOOD TO BE BAD TOUR

Friday, April 5, 2019

Ticket Prices: $28.00, $35.00, $49.00 & $59.00

George Thorogood and The Destroyers will bring their “Good To Be Bad Tour” to Albuquerque, NM on Friday, April 5, 2019, at 8 p.m. inside Route 66 Casino’s Legends Theater!

Since 1975, they’ve sold over 15 million albums, built a classic catalog of hits, and played more than 8,000 ferocious live shows. They broke records with their 50 Dates/50 States tour, delivered landmark performances at Live Aid and on SNL, and became mainstays of radio, MTV and stages worldwide for more than two generations. Through it all, they’ve remained one of the most consistent – and consistently passionate – progenitors of blues-based rock in pop culture history.

For the past 45 years, it’s been very good to be George Thorogood & The Destroyers. And in 2019, their Good To Be Bad Tour: 45 Years Of Rock will prove why like never before. “If you’re content, you may as well be dead.” George laughs with his familiar rasp. “I think everyone has thoughts about retiring, but the phone keeps ringing. You want me and The Destroyers to come to your town, set up our gear, wear some badass clothes and play ‘Who Do You Love?’ End of conversation. Let’s rock!”

For Thorogood and his longtime band – Jeff Simon (drums, percussion), Bill Blough (bass guitar), Jim Suhler (rhythm guitar) and Buddy Leach (saxophone) – the power to rock audiences has been both battle cry and creed since forming in 1974. “It wasn’t about the amount of people we drew, but rather the impression we made,” George remembers. “I asked myself, ‘Are we reaching them? Do they want more?’ And we knew from the very first set that we had something special.”

It’s on stage that George & The Destroyers flip the switch nightly, delivering what The Toledo Blade calls a “gut-bustin’, guitar-wailin’, face-meltin’, fiery-tempoed, take-noprisoners, good old-fashioned lunch-bucket rock & roll show” that includes their signature hits “Get A Haircut”, “I Drink Alone”, “One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer”, “Move It On Over”, “Who Do You Love” and the definitive badass anthem “Bad To The Bone”, along with several surprises. “It’s been a constant evolution to make the show all killer, no filler,” explains 43 year Destroyers’ bassist Bill Blough. “Something still inherently clicks the second we step on stage. We feel the audience’s energy and the show just explodes.”

But after 45 years of rock – and no signs of stopping – can Thorogood point to what continues to make it all matter? “My highlight is every night when I walk on that stage and play our hits for those happy people,” he says. “At the end of the show, the audience is smiling, I don’t see any police and everyone got their money’s worth.”

More importantly, is it still good to be bad? George Thorogood instantly flashes that huge grin. “You bet it is,” he says. ”We’ll always be the baddest band in the land. Expect our best on this tour, because that’s what you’re gonna get.”

Hairball – A Rock & Roll Experience

Friday, May 3, 2019

Ticket Prices: $20.00 General Admission

Route 66 Casino is proud to present Hairball – A Rock & Roll Experience performing in Albuquerque’s Legends Theater on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 8 p.m.

Hairball is more than just a band, and certainly more than a tribute band! A band puts on a concert – Hairball puts on an event! Hairball is a Rock & Roll experience you won’t soon forget. The lights, sound, smoke, fire, bombs, and screaming hoards of avid fans…to merely call it a concert would be like calling Mount Rushmore a roadside attraction!

Vocalists Joe, Kris and Bobby lead the band through a 2+ hour, mind-blowing, and dropdead accurate homage to some of the biggest arena acts in the world. Van Halen, KISS, Motley Crue, Queen, Journey, and Aerosmith are but a few of the acts fans will see brought to life. The Hairball stage becomes an entirely new rock concert before your very eyes countless times throughout the night.

The motor that drives the Hairball dragster consists of Freaky on the electric bass, Billy on the drums, and Happy on the lead guitar. These Rock & Roll soldiers pride themselves on nailing some of the most memorable licks and chops of all time, while adding their own style and flare that they’ve cultivated over decades of tireless performing. This isn’t a side job. These guys eat, sleep and breathe Rock & Roll!

2018 finds Hairball celebrating its 18th year of rocking hundreds of thousands of people across the country. Constantly adding more characters, more pyrotechnics, more lights, more sound, more props, more surprises…more everything! While Happy often tells the audience “Today is the first day is the rest of your life!” Hairball performs every show as though it could be their last. Every night is a 100% full-on, no-holds-barred, exciting, chaotic, fiery party that has to be experienced to be believed!

As important to Hairball as the music, are its fans. While many bands claim to have the best fans in the world, Hairball actually has! Whether they are 10 years old or 100, Hairball fans bring an unparalleled enthusiasm and energy to the show that enhances the arena experience. Hairball knows it wouldn’t exist without its fans and takes every opportunity to let them know that.  Hairball has a lot in common with its fans and it’s always a good time when they get together.

Don’t confuse Hairball with the countless “80’s Tribute” bands across the country. Hairball is an experience, an attitude, and expression of music that isn’t simply a retro flashback. It’s a way of life, and it’s not going anywhere soon!

Purchase your tickets to this all-ages show at either the Route 66 Player’s Club Box Office or online at rt66casino.com.

REO Speedwagon

Ticket Prices: $45.00, $65.00, $77.00, $89.00

Saturday, June 29, 2019 / 8pm

Formed in 1967, signed in 1971, and fronted by iconic vocalist Kevin Cronin since 1972, REO Speedwagon is a band where the main constant over the decades is a never-ending desire to give their all to their fans, year in and year out.

By the early ‘70s, the band’s unrelenting drive, as well as non-stop touring and recording, jump-started the burgeoning rock movement in the Midwest. It carved a path that was eventually followed by STYX, Kansas, Cheap Trick and more. Platinum albums and freeform FM radio staples such as “Ridin’ The Storm Out” followed, setting the stage for 1980’s explosive Hi Infidelity. REO rode the top of the charts with a RIAA-certified 22 million albums sold in the U.S. and 40 million around the globe, with a string of gold and platinum records and international hit singles.

Even now, fully established with songs on the radio in every city and town they ever set foot in, REO Speedwagon still has that Midwest work ethic. The band has gone on stage and in the studio to work– dozens of albums, thousands of concerts, and countless radio spins. Their eyes have always been on the future and on the road – not a year has gone by where REO Speedwagon didn’t perform live, thrilling fans with hit filled sets.

Band Members:
Kevin Cronin – lead vocals, rhythm guitar
Dave Amato – lead guitar, vocals
Bruce Hall – bass guitar, vocals
Neal Doughty – keyboards
Bryan Hitt – drums, percussion
