Route 66 Casino Hotel presents TESLA Tesla Concert in Albuquerque

Saturday, February 29, 2020 / 8 pm
Ticket Prices: $35, $44, $77, $89

Route 66 Casino Hotel is pleased to announce the legendary American rock band TESLA will perform in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 8 p.m. inside the Legends Theater. This will be an all ages show.

One of the world’s most celebrated and enduring rock bands with a diehard, loyal fanbase, TESLA has enjoyed international chart, radio, and tour success for nearly 35 years, with global album sales topping 15 million.

That they are still roaring and soaring should be no surprise. That’s just how they are built. TESLA may have been born in the mid ’80s eruption of leather, spandex and big hair, but this band has never been about those things. Their bluesy, soulful sound is strongly embedded in the roots of organic, authentic 1970s rock and roll. The same roots that produced bands like the Allman Brothers, Grand Funk Railroad, AC/DC, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Aerosmith.

Thanks to their die-hard, loyal fan base and their younger generation offspring, TESLA continues to tour to sold-out crowds around the world. Celebrating 30+ years of kick ass Rock ‘n’ Roll gives their audience a musical journey that keeps the loyal fans coming back and has newcomers realizing, “Wow, I didn’t know they did that song!  Such hit songs include, “Modern Day Cowboy,” “Little Suzi,” “Heaven’s Trail (No Way Out),” and “Love Song.”

TESLA’s music is often referred to as heavy metal but is better described as blues metal. The band’s lyrics also strayed from the themes popular in heavy metal, particularly in the 1980’s at the beginning of their career.  During these early years, they often toured with David Lee Roth, Def Leppard, and Aerosmith.

TESLA is:

Brian Wheat – Bass / Keyboards / Piano / Backing Vocals (1981–1996, 2000–present)
Frank Hannon – Guitars / Backing Vocals (1981–1996, 2000–present)
Jeff Keith – Lead Vocals (1984–1996, 2000–present)
Troy Luccketta – Drums / Percussion (1984–1996, 2000–present)
Dave Rude – Guitar / Backing Vocals (2006–present)

TESLA is a band for the ages. All ages. So this will be an all-ages show. Tickets can be purchased at the Route 66 Casino Player’s Club Box Office at online. Concert doors open one hour prior to the show start time.

Route 66 Casino Hotel announces a one-night performance of Nazareth in Albuquerque’s Legends Theater on Friday, May 15, 2020 at 8:00 p.m. This will be an all ages show and tickets are now available for purchase!

NAZARETH is without doubt the biggest rock band to emerge from Scotland.

They were the pioneers, eventually acquiring legendary status, who took Scottish Rock international and paved the way for many other great Scottish bands that came later – the likes of Big Country, Simple Minds, etc.

In 1971 they recorded their first album, Nazareth, which was the beginning of what was to become a long and illustrious recording career.

It was when the band toured America with Deep Purple in the 1972 that they met Roger Glover who went on to produce their breakthrough album, Razamanaz, in 1973 that included the hits “Broken Down Angel” and “Bad, Bad Boy.” The next album, Loud ‘n’ Proud, was released later the same year and featured the single, “This Flight Tonight,” a song written by Canadian Joni Mitchell, which became a huge hit throughout Europe and Canada.

The following year brought the album Rampant and a massive tour to support its release. The band played 50 shows in 9 countries throughout Europe and Scandinavia, and put three NAZARETH albums (Razamanaz, Loud ‘n’ Proud and Rampant) in the Top 20 at the same time. American success and international acclaim was brought in 1975 by NAZARETH’s album, Hair Of The Dog. The American version of the album contained the beautiful, “Love Hurts,” which still sets the standard for a rock ballad vocal to this day.

From 1971 till now, NAZARETH has recorded 23 studio albums, earning them Platinum, Gold and Silver Awards throughout the world, with 3 Platinum and 8 Gold Award albums coming from Canada alone. Their latest album, released in 2014, Rock ‘n’ Roll Telephone, was described by one music critic as “one more masterpiece,” so we will just leave it at that.

ABOUT THREE DOG NIGHT:
Legendary music icons Three Dog Night, celebrating nearly 5 decades, claim some of the most astonishing statistics in popular music. From 1969 through 1974, no other group achieved more top 10 hits, moved more records, or sold more concert tickets, than Three Dog Night. This Grammy-nominated band is not content resting on their legacy alone. Recently, Three Dog Night began adding new songs to their arsenal by releasing their first double-A sided single in nearly 25 years. The blistering performance of “Heart Of Blues” and the timely, beautiful a-cappella ballad “Prayer of the Children” are available online at iTunes, Amazon.com and other digital retailers as well as through the official band website.

Three Dog Night also pushed boundaries by recording with the London Symphony Orchestra, giving fans new and old a chance to experience dynamic performances of their hits as well as several new songs. The project, recorded at the famous Abbey Road studios in London and released to coincide with the band’s 35th Anniversary, added exciting new orchestral arrangements to Three Dog Night ’s signature sound. Three Dog Night maintains an aggressive, year-round touring schedule of over 70 dates a year. The hit filled concerts are performed for generation-spanning audiences by Danny Hutton (founder/lead vocalist) and Michael Allsup (guitar), Paul Kingery (bass/vocals), Pat Bautz (drums), Howard Laravea (keyboards) and David Morgan (vocals). The band’s now-famous name refers to native Australian hunters in the outback who huddled with their dogs for warmth on cold nights; the coldest being a “three dog night”.

TOP HITS
Boasting chart and sales records that are virtually unmatched in popular music, Three Dog Night had 21 consecutive Top 40 hits, including 3 #1 singles, 11 Top 10’s, 18 straight Top 20’s, 7 million-selling singles and 12 straight RIAA Certified Gold LPs. The hits appeared on best-selling charts in all genres (pop, rock and country). Their records continue to sell around the world, reaching beyond the borders of the U.S. into Japan, Canada, Holland, England, Germany, Spain, and elsewhere. Tens of millions of Three Dog Night records have been sold through the years. Three Dog Night recorded the music of the best (and mostly undiscovered) new songwriters of that time including Harry Nilsson, Randy Newman, Elton John, Laura Nyro, Paul Williams, and Hoyt Axton, among many others. The group’s eclectic taste, combined with their ability to recognize and record hits in a unique, distinctive, and appealing style resulted in Three Dog Night dominating the charts for years.

Now, marking nearly 50 years on the road, Three Dog Night continues to grow their fan base by keeping up a full schedule of concerts at theatres, performing arts centers, fairs, festivals, corporate events, and casinos. Since 1986, the band has performed over 2,200 shows, including two Super Bowls. www.threedognight.com
